When the gift goes to someone else's address
A new-baby gift usually goes to the mother's home rather than to the home of the person ordering. The name, phone number and address on the order have to be those of the person who will actually receive it — that person opens the parcel in front of the courier, and that person pays at the door. Which is why telling them beforehand matters: that something is coming, and that its amount is paid on delivery.
