What does the 5% commission cover?

The whole calculation: what the commission is charged on, what it pays for, and when the clock starts.

Before anything else, this is the question that gets asked: what does Crafida take, and on what? The short answer: 5% of the order value, no monthly subscription, and nothing paid upfront. No money goes to Crafida until a sale actually happens. The rest of this page is the detail that ought to be clear before any commitment: the maths with numbers, what the commission pays for, what is not included in it, and when the clock starts in the first place.

The calculation in one line

The commission is charged on the order value — the price of the piece as agreed with the buyer. A simple example: a piece priced at 400 EGP. The commission is 5%, so 20 EGP. The remaining 380 EGP goes to the maker. If an order has several pieces, the same rule applies to the order total: a 700 EGP order carries 35 EGP. The rate is the same whatever the size of the order — no tiers, no minimum, and no extra charge on small orders. A 120 EGP order carries 6 EGP, and that is all.

Shipping sits outside the commission

Shipping is an entirely separate line, and it is calculated outside the commission. The shipping price is flat: 100 EGP to every governorate, paid by the buyer on top of the price of the piece. So in the 400 EGP example: the buyer pays 500 EGP (400 for the piece + 100 for shipping), and the commission is charged on the 400 only, not on the 500. That is deliberate. Shipping is not income — it is a cost passing from one hand to another — so taking a percentage of it would not be honest.

The first 3 months carry no commission

The current offer is that the first 3 months, counted from your first sale, carry no commission at all. One detail in that wording matters: the clock starts at the first actual sale, not on the day you sign up. Signing up, and then a month of preparing, photographing and talking to buyers, burns none of the 3 months. During that period, the 400 EGP example becomes: 400 EGP in full to the maker, and zero commission.

What the commission pays for

The 5% is not a hosting fee for a page. It is the work that happens after a buyer sends a message: • Messages get answered on their own — at any hour, including while you sleep, with none missed. • The order gets closed: the piece, the address and the phone number are taken in the same conversation. • Collection: cash on delivery, or with a partial deposit, whichever was agreed. • Shipping and delivery to every governorate, and tracking until the parcel arrives. • The money transferred to you after delivery. All of it inside the same Instagram and WhatsApp that are already open — nothing to install, no second page to run, and no training needed before starting.

When the money arrives

The payout standard: within 48 hours of delivery, to the account agreed with you — InstaPay, a mobile wallet, or a bank account. Crafida holds no wallet for your money to sit in, and there is no minimum withdrawal. The amount transferred is the order value less the 5%: in the 400 EGP example, 380 EGP. The 100 EGP of shipping goes to the cost of the shipping itself and never enters that calculation.

What is not in the calculation

Several things simply do not exist here, and that is deliberate: • No monthly subscription and no annual one. • No signup fee and no account-opening fee. • No hidden charges that surface later. • No minimum term, and you can stop at any time with no penalty. The whole idea is that Crafida only earns when you earn. In a month with no sales the bill is zero — not smaller, zero.

Common questions

Is the commission charged on the price of the piece or on what the buyer paid?

On the price of the piece. Shipping (100 EGP) is a separate line and carries no commission. On a 400 EGP piece, the buyer pays 500 and the commission is 20 EGP.

When do the 3 commission-free months start?

At your first actual sale, not on the day you sign up. The period before your first order uses none of it.

Is there a monthly subscription?

No. No subscription, no signup fee, and no minimum. The commission is charged on orders that actually happen, and on nothing else.

The clock starts at your first sale

Crafida answers the messages, closes the order, collects payment, ships to every governorate, and the money reaches you within 48 hours. 5% of the order, no monthly subscription, and your first 3 months from your first sale carry no commission at all.
