About this piece
The idea of the painting is simply that I am trying to express the time I choose to be with God alone, away from the shower and stress around us throughout the day. This time is different from any other time. There is no much talk or requests. It may not be quiet and close. In the picture, I am not running away from the world, but I am leaving it a little bit by one side. I will stay with God as if I am relying on him and taking myself. The cross here is not a pregnancy. It is safety. The calm in the picture is the same calm I feel as I stay away from traffic and stay with God for a little while.”
